Good Things Happen To Bad People

Life isn’t fair, but it is funny.

Yes. There is someone out there who is probably not as good as you at something who “beat” you at it.

They got the job, the wife/husband, or life you wanted.

They got the respect you felt you deserved instead — the car, the house.

They are winning. You are not. Or at least it seems that way.

Success is seemingly amoral.

Take money. It finds its way into the hands of church collections and drug dealers alike.

Take sports. The better team doesn’t always win.

Take beauty. The most attractive person can have the most repulsive personality.

Life isn’t fair, but it is funny.

Usually the worst thing that can come someone’s way is exactly what they think they want.

The 5 star athlete reaches their “dream school” only to realize they’re now “average”

You spent the past 5 years working 80 hrs a week making piles of cash only to realize no amount of money can make people like you.

A relationship is broken off by a person for the promise of a newer “exciting one” only to realize no amount of outer attraction can substitute for true connection.

Next time you see a good thing happening to a “bad” person you’re not seeing an unjust world.

You’re seeing the universe getting ready to knock someone off their horse.

Just, on its own time.
